B’nai Mitzvah
B’nai Mitzvah
Training to become a B'nai Mitzvah at TBI is one of our most sacred obligations. Rabbi works one-on-one with all students beginning about 5 months prior to their service date. All students learn to conduct most of the worship service, including all liturgy, Torah aliyot, haftarah, and accompanying blessings. In addition, students compose a speech and complete special projects that better connect them to their Jewish ancestry and faith. All B'nai Mitzvah students must have completed a minimum of 3 years of religious school education at TBI (or a comparable Jewish school) to be considered for this process. To schedule a date for your child’s simcha, contact our Rabbi or Cantor.
A worship service during which a young person becomes a B'nai Mitzvah occurs at 10 a.m. and is noted in our calendar and event emails..
ALL are warmly invited and encouraged to attend our B'nai Mitzvah worship services and to shower our youth with praise and good wishes for their accomplishments.
